LFN Evidence Report · USD 39
Readings a council or an operator can act on
When a complaint is answered with "it is within the dBA limit", a band-by-band comparison with a published method is the reply. The report turns your one-third-octave readings into a document you can attach.
What is in it
- The result against the DEFRA NANR45 reference curve, with the relaxations that apply.
- A chart and a table of every band: your reading, the curve, and the difference.
- The quick dBC minus dBA screen, if you entered those readings.
- What the result means and, as importantly, what it does not.
- How to make the evidence stronger, and a measurement log to fill in.
- A letter you can adapt to your council's environmental health or code enforcement team, or to the operator.
- The method and its sources, so anyone can check it.

What it is not
It is a screen of the readings you enter. It does not check your meter or how you measured, does not show where a sound comes from, and does not decide whether a nuisance exists or a limit has been broken. For that, ask your council to measure, or a qualified acoustician. If a report fails to arrive, reply to the receipt email and we will fix it or refund you.
